Helping young people tell their own stories - and be heard
StoryBridge Scotland uses photography, visual storytelling and creative collaboration to help young people explore the issues that matter to them, connect with their communities and make their voices heard.
Biodiversity, Nature & Place
Connecting young people with Scotland's natural environment and the communities working to protect and restore it through photography, outdoor exploration and creative storytelling. Projects encourage curiosity about biodiversity, local landscapes, wildlife and environmental change, helping young people develop a stronger sense of place, understand the importance of conservation and restoration, and contribute their voices to conversations about the future of their environment.
Social Impact & Community Voice
Using creativity to build confidence, strengthen connections and encourage positive social change. Our projects provide opportunities for young people to explore identity, belonging, wellbeing and community issues, while sharing their experiences and perspectives with decision-makers and the wider public.
New Scots, Inclusion & Belonging
Bringing young New Scots and local Scottish young people together through shared creative experiences. Photography, storytelling, cultural exchange and public exhibitions create opportunities to explore home, migration, identity and friendship, celebrate different perspectives and build understanding across communities.
Peer Mentoring & Youth Leadership
Empowering young people to build confidence, develop leadership skills and support one another through creative collaboration and shared experiences. Our peer mentoring approach provides opportunities for young people to become positive role models, support new participants and take an active role in shaping projects and activities. Through youth ambassadors, advisory groups and an expanding alumni network, participants develop communication, teamwork and leadership skills while strengthening connections across communities.
